Background & Research
Background & Research
This project kicked off when a young family in Temanggung came to us looking for a simple, single-sloped roof house that was both budget-friendly and low-maintenance. After doing my research, the style that perfectly met their criteria was minimalism true, bare-bones minimalism. Since many people misuse the term "minimalist," I made sure to educate the client on what the concept truly meant, and they completely bought into the idea.

Design & Development
Design & Development
For the design development, I created a unique and unconventional minimalist concept. Now, this approach is a bit of a double-edged sword; it’s not for everyone. While an average person might find the design "odd," someone with a good understanding of design will see it as a point of pride. Despite its unique nature, the client absolutely loved this minimalist design, giving us their complete satisfaction.

Concept
Concept
The building mass is composed of two bold geometric volumes that interact through a dialogue of horizontal lines and solid planes. Wooden textures and transparent elements on the lower floor bring warmth and fluid connection between interior and exterior spaces. Meanwhile, the solid upper volume offers privacy and a strong visual identity within its urban context. The approach embodies an architecture that is simple yet expressive, rational in structure, but rich in spatial experience.
