A young family had a sizable vacant lot and dreamt of a modern home where privacy was paramount. They wanted a design that wasn't entirely built up, leaving ample space for parking and clear driveways, making it easy to maneuver cars and comfortable when friends came over.

I created a modern minimalist design that wasn't cluttered with unnecessary frills. We used a play of materials to ensure the look was simple yet engaging. The high, closed fence provides excellent privacy for the users inside, but once you step inside, the impression changes completely due to the large window openings designed for natural light.

I created a modern minimalist design that wasn't cluttered with unnecessary frills. We used a play of materials to ensure the look was simple yet engaging. The high, closed fence provides excellent privacy for the users inside, but once you step inside, the impression changes completely due to the large window openings designed for natural light.

The design concept is rooted in form follows function with a modern tropical approach. The building massing adopts clean geometric compositions that allow dynamic light and shadow play throughout the day. Vertical timber screens act not only as aesthetic accents but also as natural light filters providing privacy and comfort. The interplay of exposed concrete, wooden textures, and neutral tones enhances a warm yet contemporary ambiance that blends seamlessly with the surrounding landscape.
